About Doggie & Moggie

Where pets come first

At Doggie and Moggie, we go beyond simply grooming; we believe in a holistic approach to your pet’s care. We offer a comprehensive range of services and products to keep them happy and healthy, from nose to tail.

We work with pet owners to provide the very best care for their animals. Our groomers take the time to get to know you and your pet, understand each animal’s unique character, and provide the tailored, holistic care they deserve.

At our York salon, we use state-of-the-art grooming equipment and high-quality Italian shampoos, carefully matched to best suit your pet’s coat. Our facilities include a temperature-controlled hydrobath with massaging action to penetrate the coat and stimulate the skin.

Healthier pets, healthier planet

Here at Doggie and Moggie, we are very choosy about the products we use in the salon and stock in our shop.

We believe that when it comes to health, nature knows best, and that looking after your pet doesn’t have to cost the earth.

All of this is why we always aim to:

Avoid products which use unnecessary harsh chemicals

Support British brands wherever possible to reduce transport miles

Reduce our use of single-use plastic in the salon

Stock the most responsibly-sourced, minimally-processed, nutrient-rich pet foods we can find

Work with our suppliers to encourage them to continuously improve their practises and ‘pass it down the chain’

Help our customers to reduce their pet’s carbon footprint with initiatives such as our in-store terracycling for pet food containers

Regularly review our practices and suppliers to ensure we continue to meet our own high environmental and ethical standards.

A safe and secure environment

Our dedicated, air-conditioned salon has been custom built with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind. Pets are seen on a one-to-one basis to minimise stress and allow groomers time to bond with each animal.  Cats are groomed by our experienced professionals in our dedicated cat grooming room.
